Although this nude gnome is not actually mine, it still means a lot to me. It was given to my father as a birthday gift and he set it outside our front door. My family is made up five goofy individuals who aren't influenced or worried too much about how others view them. When I see this gnome, it reminds me of my family and how we're aren't tightly wound. I was inspired to take this photo when I realized that I don't really have toys and this was a sort of toy that makes me laugh.
Orange Middle
Flower Garden (Crystalize)
This orange middled flower is one that stands out from all the others in my mother's flower garden. Although I'm not a huge fan of gardening and planting, I do really enjoy watching a boring brown seed develop into a beautiful, unique flower. The specific name of this flower is a Einstein Daffodil. Like I mentioned earlier, I don't enjoy gardening but I do like spending time with my mother. Since she spends most days at work for about 11 hours, I don't mind gardening if it means getting to talk and interact with her.
Cotton Tail (Mosaic)
Cement Bunny
Before I moved to Ann Arbor, my family and I lived in Milan, a city about 25 minutes south of here. Unfortunately since we can't pick up our whole house and move, we couldn't really bring anything from the outside of our house to Ann Arbor. This bunny lived next to our sidewalk back in Milan and we were able to bring it with us. Even though it's pretty small, it still reminds me our when we lived in Milan. I like living here much more than living in Milan but it's still nice to have a token of our outside memories from there.
Birdhouse Backside
House for the Birds (Pointillize)
This birdhouse was made by my grandpa and given to my family as a moving-in present when we moved into Ann Arbor. It is a beautifully build house that lives in the yard of our family's house. We can see it clearly from the windows of our human house. During the summer, I enjoy eating at our dining room table and watching the different colored birds fly to and fro the small house. My mother always expresses interest in becoming a bird watcher when she retires and this birdhouse is a good place to start.
Victoria Throws it in a Circle
Victoria Circle
This is not actually the road that I live on but it happens to be right across from my house. I walk to school everyday for about 15 minutes and I pass this sign each time. Many thoughts fly in and out of mind as I meander by the Victoria Circle sign. The road that I live on is actually one road but has two names. It's a dead end and halfway to the end, it changes from Alexandra Blvd. to Victoria Circle. I often see think about this and wonder if whoever did this thought it would be funny to mess with people like that.
